England v. Australia
[BY CABLE.] Sydney, Monday. The international cricket match was continued here to-day, when the Englishmen, AY-ith 9 Yvickets down for 203 runs, resumed their first innings. Morley, the last man in, AY-as boAY-led Avithout scoring, and Mr Steele added nothing to his 135 of the previous day. The innings therefore closed for 263. The follWing is the bowling analysis: — MidAvinter, 2 Avickets for 50 runs ; Palmer, 2 for 52; Spofforth, 2_for 56; Boyle, 3 for 52. The Australians then went in for their first innincrs, and at the close of the day's play had lost 9 wickets for 249. Subsequently, hoAvever, he improved. Giii'eu played avcll, and Blackham displayed cxccllcntorieket during his innings. Evans and Boyle, Avho are both not out, are in excellent 'form. The attendance of spectators during the day Yvas large, and the weather was much more favorable for the game than yesterday. Much interest is being taken in the contest.
