The directors of the Standard Insurance Company recommend the payment of a dividend of 7 -J- per cent., absorbing £2812. There will be carried to the reserve fund £2500, and £1030 will be carried forward. The balance at disposal is thus £93-13. The journeymen potters are agitating to get up a company on a small scale to work the pottery. They have enlisted the aid of the Mayor of Milton. The Premier leaves for the North on TucsA public meeting was held last night respecting assisting the sufferers by the floods in Germany. Those present formed _ a committee for the purpose, and collected £3o in the room.
