The attendance was very fair, people coming from Wellington, Nelson, and all parts of the province. There was one totalizator in the saddling paddock worked by Hill and Poole. Hit also started. Won by half a nose. The totalisator had 11 on the -winner, and gave a dividend of £5 17s. SELLIXG HACK RACE. Mo3quito .. .. .. 1 MARXBOROUGII CUF. Hero 1 Hippodamia ~.. •• \ Pareora .. .. .. ° Rore, Dan O'Connell, and Satellite also started. Time, 3mins. 45secs. There were 24 on the winner in the totalisator, giving a dividend of £9 6s. SUEAKEKS' PUESE. Matoa .. I Moorna .. • • • • " Syren J " PITIITO STAKES HANDICAP, Of 50 soa's. Hippodamia .. .. .. 1 Orlando ~ Rore .. • • • • .. 3 Painter, Sir' Ttitton, and Dan OX'omiell also faced the started. There were 35 on Hippodamia in the totalisator, giving a dividend of £3 7s. This concluded the day's races.
