In pursuance of the provisions of the ■' Counties Ad, 1870,"' and the ••Counties Act, 187G Amendment Act, 1882," the County Council of Hawke's Bay do order as follows, that is to say :• — 1. Any pig.- or μ-oats found running at large may be impounded by any person in any public pound or in any enclosure specially appointed for the purpose- by the Council, and publicly notified. Such, enclosure shall, for the purpose of this bye-law only, be deemed a public pound, and the like fees and damages shall be payable in respect of any pigs or goats impounded therein, as in the case of a public pound. 2. The owner of any pig or goat found running at large shall bo deemed guilty of an offence, and shall, upon conviction, forfeit and pay any sum not exceeding .CI for every pig or goat so found running at large, to be recovered in the manner provided by the 20Sth section of the '• Counties Act, 1670." Meanee Riding. — Commencing , at the mouth, of the "Tukaeluiri river, thence in a north - easterly direction to the southern boundary of the Napier borough, thence following the said boundary in an easterly direction to the sea coast, thence following the coast in a generally southerly direction to the mouth of the Waitaugi river, thence following the Waitangi to its. junction to the Totara creek, thence generally south-west along the south-eastern boundaries of Meanee suburban sections to the Tataekuri-AVaimate stream, thence generally southerly down that stream to the junction with theNgaruroro river, thence generally westerly up that river to the western boundary of the Ohikakarewa block, thence along that boundary to the Korokipo block, thence along the south-west boundary of that block in a north-westerly direction to the main road, thence following the said road generally uortherly to the Rcdeliiie bridge on the Tutaekuri river, thence along the said river to the western boundary of block 1, Pukotapu district, thence following the western boundary of that block to the north-west corner thereof, thence following , the western boundary of Meanee suburban sections to the Ahuriri harbor, thence following the edge of the said harbor generally easterly to the starting point.
