The pantomime of " Jack the Giant Killer, or the Knights of the Round Table," will be reproduced at the Theatre Royal tonight by the Juvenile Opera Company. Professor Allen, the magnetic healer aud lecturer, will deliver an open-air address from his carriage in Tennyson-street at 7.30 this evening. The nomination of candidates for the three vacant seats in the Harbor Board must be made before noon to-morrow. A poll for the election of one member to represent the Puketapu riding in the Hawke's Bay County Council will be taken at the school-house, Puketapu, to-morroAV between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Commissioner of Crown Lands will hold a land sale in the Council Chamber tomorrow at 11 a.m., when first, second, and third-class lands in the Pohui and Patoka survey districts will be offered for sale for cash, and lands in the Tahoraitc and Norsewood survey districts, a small farm allotment at Kuincroa, and a section in the Bushmills specisil allotment, will be disposed of on the deferred payment principle. Mr M. R. Miller will self 350 sacks good feed oats in lots to suit purchasers at Messrs Banner and Liddle's store at the Spit at 11 a.m. to-morrow. Messrs Banner and Liddle's third wool sale of the season will take place at their Spit stores to-morrow at 2 p.m., when 250 bales will be offered. A colt and two fillies, impounded at Hastings, will be sold at the public pound at Hastings at noon to-morrow unless previously redeemed. Rymer's 10 o'clock coach for Taradale tomorrow will run on to Puketapu, leaving the latter place at 1 p.m., and arriving - in Napier at o i>. m. An excursion train leaves Hastings for Napier and intermediate .stations to-morrow evening for the convenience of persons wishing to attend the pantomime, returning after the performance. Mr Ziegel, the local manager of the New Zealand Clothing Factory, informs the public that, owing to his early departure South, he is prepared to take orders for measure made suits, which will be executed under his personal supervision. slr J. T. Carr, the resident engineer, invites tenders for the formation of portion of the railway lino in the Seventy-mile Bush in nine .separate small contracts. Mrs P. Wilson, Carlyle street, offers a reward of £1 for the recovery of a wedding rin<r which has been lost. Mr Jenson, Emerson-street, has a shop, with five-roomed dwelling attached, to let. slr Woods, dispensing and family chemist, has a large supply of homeopathic medicines of all kinds on hand. Messrs Blythc and Co. have China silk dresses for 12s6d. Cooper's dip can be procured in any quantity from Mr Woods, chemist. A number of new advertisements will be found in our "Wanted " column.
