Dunedix, Yesterday

John Yorston, who was some days ago convicted of attempted rape on a married woman at Naseby, was .sentenced to seven years 1 penal servitude. M. E. Gr. Heats, for a criminal assault on a girl nine years old at Taieri, was also sentenced to seven years' penal .servitude.

Edward Finch, charged with rape on a Maori girl at Moeraki, was acquitted.
