[To TiiE Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] g IR) —I -vs-irtli to warn the public against being imposed upon by a man Avith one leg, who is going about getting money for the alleged purpose of paying for an artificial lej,'. To my certain kno-n-lodare he collected from benoA-olent people at Olive yesterday a good sum of money, and in one instance at least a person who assisted him was asked if he would have a drink ! The man Avas seen towards night lying in a semiintoxicated state, and was at both the hotels at Clive shouting for drink and himself —I am, Sec, C.P. Clive, January 31, 1883.
