[by cable.] London, January 23. Consols to-day arc quoted at 100 A, a further advance of one-eighth. There are no other changes to report in the money market or in the markets for colonial breadstuff's or tallow. Melbourne, January 2-1. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand'(limited) reports of the local markets as follows:— Wheat is firm at 5s Id; malting barley is very strong at 4s 9d to 5s 2d : New Zealand oats, feeding qualities are worth 3s 3d, and milling ditto Is ; quotations for seeds arc nominal.
