PORT OF NAPIER. ARRIVALS. January. 21—Sir Donald, h.s.. from Blackhead. Passengers — Mesdames McHardy and Heslop and live children, and Mr Strange. 24—Southern Cross, s.s., from Wellington. DEPARTURES. Ja.ixaa.ry. 24—Maori, e.s., for Poraugahau. The Union Steamship Company , a s.s. Southern Cross arrived in the roadstead last uijrht, having- left Wellington the previous evening- at S o'clock. She was berthed inside atthe breastwork at about G o'clock this morning, where she discharged her cargo later on. She was announced to leave for Gisborne, Hick's Bay, and Auckland at 3 o'clock this afternoon. The s.s. Sir Donald returned from Blackhead at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, bringing eight passengers and 5:5 bales of wool. Reports a very heiivy swell to be running , on the coast'south of Capo Kidnappers. The steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, left for Porangahau at 7 o'clock last night, with a cargo of timber and stores. The s.s. Manapouri, Captain Logan, was expected to have left Auckland at noon today, and will arrive here by daylight on Saturday, sailing southwards at 11.3 a.m. The ketch Admiral is discharging a part load of cargo to-day at the brestwork, transhipped out of the barque May Queen.
