January. 22—Kiwi, s.s., for Wellington and the coast. 22—Sir Donald, s.s , for Blackhead. « Messrs Shaw, Savill and Co.'s barque May Queen, 732 tons register, Captain Colville, rounded the Bluff at 7 o'clock this morning, but, owing to the baffling nature of the wind, was unable to get right up to the anchorage. She is from London Aia Wellington, having left the latter place on Saturday afternoon, and brings 2GB tons of original"cargo from London for this port, after discharging which she will be placed immediately on the berth to load wool for home. Messrs Kinross and Co. arc her local agents, and they request consignees to present bills of lading and pass Customs entries for her inward cargo without delay. The steamer Kiwi, Captain Campbell, took in a quantity of goods yesterday afternoon, and steamed for Wellington via coastal stations at 5.40 p.m. Tho s.s. Fairy returned from Mahia at 10 o'clock last night, with SI bales of wool and two passengers. The s.s. Sir Donald steamed for Blackhead last night, with a cargo of timber. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross leaves Wellington this afternoon, aud is expected to arrive here tomorrow. She is announced to sail again for Poverty Bay, Hicks Bay, and Auckland, at 7 o'clock to-morrow night. The p.s. Manaia, Captain Botham, returned from Waimarama with Go bales of wool at 1 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Maori, which left Wairoa at 7 o'clock this morning, arrived at the breastwork at 11.30 a.m. She brought a cargo of wool and fruit, and eleven passengers. It is expected she will get away for Porangahau to-morrow night. We learn that the three-masted schooner Frank Guy from this port, arrived at Hobart on Sunday last, and will be leaving there on her return voyage on or about the Ist of February, with a cargo of timber, jams, <S:e. The Union Company's launch Boojiim, Captain Maloney, was to have left Wairoa at 11 o'clock this morning, in which case she will arrive here by this evening.
