MEAIBERS unwilling to serve under the new Regulations are requested to apply for their discharge on or before THURSDAY, the 25th instant. Having delivered up all arms and accoutrements, or other property, and paid any dues in which they may be indebted to tho Company, such discharge will at once be granted. Members willing to serve under the new Regulations are requested to signify the same to the officer commanding the company on or before THURSDAY, the 25th instant, by filling up and forwarding the proper form. With a view of clearly placing tho position of the company before members, and others who may be disposed to join it, the following information is jdaccd before them. Should the company on the 31st instant not number forty-three rank and file, including recruits all duly sworn in under the new Regulations, it will be disbanded, thus loosing (even should it be re-organised the day after) its seniority among the corps of New Zealand. With a view to avoiding this, and if possible saving the corp's precedence, the officers individually and collectively place their commissions in the hands of the company as newly constituted, and cither or all of them will at once resign if requested by the vote of three-fourths of those members and proposing members who may by the 25th instant have signified their willingness to re-enrol or enrol, such request to be simply coin-eyed by word of mouth through the senior non-commissioned officer to the officer commanding the company on or before the 31st instant. The following leading rules arc extracted from the new Regulations for the guidance of members and others : — G. A Arolunteer shall be entitled to his discharge at any time after a year's service on application to his Commanding Officer, provided he shall have given not less than three calendar months' notice of his intention to make the application ; such notice to expire in January or July. 9. The standard height for Volunteers shall be, for Artillery corps, 5 feet 0 inches ; and for all other corps, 5 feet 5 inches ; but exceptions to the standard may be allowed, under special circumstances, by the Officer in Command of the District. GG. All enrolled members of Volunteer corps must be natural-born or naturalised subjects of Her Majesty. G9. Any Volunteer who wishes to be transferred to another corps may, except when on actual service, at any time after the expiration of a year's service, by giving one week's previous notice, be transferred upon his delivering up to the Commanding Officer of the'corps which he is about to leave, in good order, fair wear and tear only excepted, the arms and accoutrements or other property of the Government issued to him, aiid shall not be accepted in another corps until he produces a certificate showing
