NEW PLYMOUTH.

This day. The new hall was opened last night, fully one thousand people being present. The Mayor made a short speech, and was followed' by Mr Parris. The Philharmonic Society performed "Elijah" with great success. The interior of the building is very handsome. The stage is 48 feet wide by .'3O deep, and the opening in the proscenium is 24 feet wide by 20 feet in height. The hall is seated in a confortuble style, and the acoustic properties are perfect. Hey wood's All Star Novelty Company open in it on Friday.
