The regular monthly meeting '.if the Scinde Lodge of Freemasons will be held in the Masonic Hall, Tennyson street, at 7.30 o'clock this evening. The creditors of Mr Samuel Merrick arc requested to meet him at the office of Messrs Tait and Mills at 8 o'clock to-night. _ Tenders for removing fur a short distance and re-erecting a small house in Olive Square must be sent in by 7 o'clock tonight, The fireworks display announced to be held to-night, has, on account of the inclemency of the weather, been postponed till Tuesday evening. Mr Montcith's sale of cattle at the Shan)rock yards, fixed to take place tomorrow, is, owing to the weather, postponed till Tuesday next. A summoned meeting of the Albion Lodge of Druids w> H be held in the lodgeroom, Carlyle-street, to-morrow evening. Voting papers for the election of four members of the Hospital Committee can be obtained from the secretary, Mr Harkcr. The ten per cent, penalty will be added to all property tax unpaid on Thursday. February 8. The ratepayers of the Petane Highway District hold a meeting at the Pctane Hotel on Monday next. A public meeting of the ratepayers of the Puketapu Highway District will bo held in the school-room, Puketapu, on Friday evening, 12th instant. The Commissioner of Crown Lands will offer for sale oy pubHcauc tion, at the Council Chamber, Napier, on Wednesday, February 7th next, first-class, second-class, and third-class lauds in the Pohui and Patoka survey districts, and also lands on deferred payments in the Tahoraitc and Bush Mills districts.
