POST OFFICE NOTICE.
MAILS CLOSE
The Post Office will be closed on the 25th instant, being Christmas Day. Mails
for Wairoa, Mohaka, Wellington, Wanganui, Wallingford, Porangahau, fee., will close on the evening of Saturday, the 23rd instant, at 8 o'clock, instead of on the morning of the 25th instant. A special delivery of correspondence will be made from the counter at this office between 7 and 8 o'clock on the evening of the 23rd. On Boxing Day the office will be open frcm 9 to 10 a.m. only. For the Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, on Saturday, 30th December, at 8 a.m. Money orders and registered letters close ou Friday, the 29tb, afc 5 p.m. For Wellington, Southern ports, and Australian colonies, per Rotomahana, on Saturday, at 10.30 a.m. For Gisborne, Auckland, and Sydney, per Rotorua, on Saturday, at 3 p.m. J. Gbubb, Chief Postmaster.
