A meeting in connection with the Catholic Endowment Association will be held in St. Mary's school-room at 3 p.m. to-morrow, when Mr Cook, from "Wellington, will explain the working of the Association. The Hawke's Bay County Council meets on Monday morning, when the resolution in reference to the alteration of the boundaries of the several ridings in the county will be submitted for confirmation.
The right to cut and remove timber from lands in the thermal springs district, near Lake Botorua, for a period of seven years, will be sold by public auction at the Crown Lands Office, Auckland, at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Tenders for the erection of about five chains of wall to the Beach road, and for the annual contracts required by the Corporation of Napier, must be sent to the Town Clerk's office by noon on Monday. A summoned meeting of Court Robin Hood. A.0.F., for the election of officers, will be held on Monday evening. Nominations for the Welter, Napier, Railway Stakes, and Hurdle Race to be run at the Jockey Club's annual meeting in March next, clo'je with the secretary, Mr Luckie, at the Criterion Hotel oil Tuesday evening.
An entertainment in aid of the Taradale district school prize fund will be given in the church school-room, Taradale, on Wednesday evening. Messrs J\ Gush, Olive ; E. Bissell, Havelock ; W. O. McLeod, Hastings ; J. Smith, Meaneo ; and A. Hamilton, Puketapu ; have been appointed returning and presiding officers under the Licensing Acts for the districts mentioned.

" Social Science," a treatise on nervous disorders, can be had from Mr R. T. Selby, Sydney, on forwarding one shilling in stamps.

Mr Monteith at his cattle sale at Hastings on Tuesday will dispose of 170 croas-bred ewes. Mr Gγ. Carr wants Mr J. Ponten to send his address to the Temperance Hotel. The best value in Napier is on Jacobs' shilling table. Messrs Gilberd and Co., Dickens-street, have ice, cordials, &c, always on hand. Mr John Orr, Port Ahuriri, has juafc landing a cargo of Newcastle Goals. Messrs Neal and Close have new articles for presents on the tables to-night. A shilling table is now open at Stock's , Albion Hotel. Woods' trico saron fluid is a valuable preparation for increasing the growth of the hair.
