Ab a four-year-old won the Midlothian Agricultural Association's premium of LSO, and the Highland Society's gold medal at Perth. Bis tire Bergamic won the Highland Society's first prize at Keleo in 1863, and numerous other first prizes. Bergamie's dam Maggie won three first prizes at Campbelltown, and her Bire Farmer's Fancy won the Highlaud Society s first prize at Glasgow in i 1815. Hi i dam Peggy won many prizes, and was got W by Clyde Boy, first prize Stallion at Haddinjrton Show, ISSB, also second priz* at Highland Society a Show, 1858. Clyde Boy was the sire of the Champion horse Sir Walter Scott, who gained the highest honors at the Royal Society s Show in England, and the Highland Society sShow in Scotland. Darling won as a yearling—first prizes at Ayr, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Highland Society s at Aberdeen, Asa two-year-old won first prize at Dumfries; v, as a three-year-old first prize at Ayr, Glasgow, yf Hamilton, and Highland Societys at Perth; as a ~t four-year-old, first prize at Hamilton and Glasgow ; Cup at Newcastle as a five-year-old, first prize at Glasgow ; eecond prize at Stirling; Highland Society s Cup at Newcastle, and 50 guineas for the best mare in the yard. As a six-year-old, first prize at Glasgow and Stirling. Her sire Prince Albert was a roted Stallion. Her dam Old Darling by Samson won as a three-year-old firet prize at the Highland Socioty 8 Show at Stirling. As a four-year-old, first prize _t the Highland Society s Show at Inverness ; and first prize at Ayr. She was aIBO the dam of Prince of Wales, Prince Arthur and of two other colts, sold as yearlings at 200 guineas each. Robin Adair will serve a limited number of mares this season, and will stand at Puketapu, where good paddocks are provided. One month s grass free, afterwards 3s per week. Due notice will be given on mares being stinted, and every care taken, but no responsibility.
