TIMARU.
December 4,
A six-roomed house on Maori Hill, occupied by Mr Walker, schoolmaster, and owned by Mrs Mackenzie, was burned down on Saturday afternoon. The house was insured for £350 in the Royal, and the furniture for iIICQ in the same office. Mr Walker ertimates his loss at £100. The flames fused all tho telegraph wires and interrupted communication with the North for a time.
