October 12. A miner named M. W. Batting was killed at Livingstoue oq Tuesday by a fall of earth. He was working in his claim with another man when a fall of earth partly covered him. Hia mate had nearly extricated him when another fall completely covered him. When got out life was extinct. He was a single man.
