[To the Editor of the Daily Tbleqbaph.] Bir,—Some time back the Football Club gave an entertainment with the ostensible object of providing funds for the purchase of shares in the Recreation Ground Company. There was a very "large house" on that occasion, and it was thought that, after a very liberal deduction for expense?, there would be at least something like £30 for investment in Recreation Company's shares. Up to this time, I am credibly informed, the Football Club has not bought a single share. What has become of the money ? which, in some sense, may be regarded as a trust (or a certain purpose, for it was for that the entertainment was given, and the public took tickets.—l am, &c, Carlyle-stbee't.
