An important sale of runs was held yesterday by the Government auctioneer. The total amount of rental realised ao the result of the sale was £9000, or an average of 8d vet acre, which is about three times the amount they are at present bringing in. The runs were educational reserves, and the sale was on behalf of the School Commissioners of Otago and the High School Board of Governors.

A miner named Ravenswood met with a very painful accident at Naseby on Wednesday.
