December 24. The cricket match between the English team and fifteen of South Australia was resumed to-day, when the first innings of the local team closed for 244 runs. At the close of to-day's play, the English team had two wickets down for 126 runs. Selby was not out for 51, and Barlow was not out for 46 runs. December 20. The cricket match between a South Australian fifteen and the English eleven resulted in a draw. The first innings of the visitors closed for 293 runs, as against 244 of the local team. Bates made 71, Barlow 62, and Selby 51. The fifteen went iD, and bad put together 28 runs for the loss of two wickets when play was stopped.
