In the Cortes to-day Senor Armijo, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, anuouuced that a protest had been recently sent by Spain to England against the charter granted to the North Borneo Trading
Company, and that diplomatic correspondence was now proceeding between tbe British and Spanish Governments in regard to the matter.
