December 20.
Intelligence has been received here regarding the Arctic exploring vessel Jeannette. The news to band is to the effect that she was crushtd by the ice in June last, and was abandoned, the officers and crew taking to the boats. One boatload were rescued by the natives on the Siberian coast, and were forwarded on to Irkutsk, in Siberia. Another boat reached the mouth of the river Lena, and its crew were suffering fearfully. Tbe other boat is missing, and it i 9 feared tbat all who were on board have perished.
