Robin Adair was got by Rantin Sobin (imported), foaled 1800 (Champion horse of Scotland), out of Darling (imported), foaled 1868 (Champion mare Of Scotland) Rantin Robin won as a one and two-year-old many first prizes. As a three-year-old the Selkirkshire Agricultural Society's premium of £40, and the third prize at tho Highland Society's Show at Edinburgh, As a four-year-old won the Midlothian Agricultural Association's premium of £50, and the Highland Society's gold medal at Perth, His sire Bergamic won the Highland Society's first prize at Kelso in 1863, and numerous other first prizes. Bergamio'a dam Maggie won three first prizes at Campbclltown, and her sire Farmer's Fancy won tho Highland Society's first prize at Glasgow in 1845. His dam Peorgy won many prizes, and was got by Clydo Boy, first prize Stallion at Haddinjrton Show, XBSB, also second prize at Highland Society's Show, 1858. Clyde Boy was the sire of the Champion horse Sir Walter Scott, who gained the highest honors at the Royal Society's Show in England, and the Highland Society's Show in Scotland. Darling won ds a yearling—first prizes at Ayr, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Highland Society's at Aberdeen. As a two-year-old won first prize at Dumfries ; as a three-year-old first prize at Ayr, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Highland Society's at Perth; as a four-year-old, Ist prize at Hamilton and Glasgow; Cup at Newcastle; as a five-year-old, Ist prize at Glanjow; 3ncl prize at Stirling; Highland Society's Cup at Newcastle, and 50 guineas for the best mare in tho yard. Aβ a six-year-old, Ist prize at Glasgow and Stirling. Her sire Prince Albert was a noted Stallion. Her clam Old Darling by Samson won as a three-year-old Ist prise at the Highland Society's Show at Stirling. As a fow.year-old, Ist prise at tho. Highland Society's Show at Inverness ; and Ist prise at Ayr. She was also tho dam of Prince of Wales, Prince Arthur' and of two other colts, sold as yearlings at 200 Guineas each.
