The proposed railway will bo about 74 miles in length, and completes an unbroken chain of railway communication between the City of Auckland and the Hot Lako District. (2). For a distance of 40 miles the proposed line must at no very distant date form part of the main line connecting Auckland with Napi:r and Wellington.
