November 17.
The annual meeting of the shareholders of the National Life Association of Australasia was held here to-day. The report of the directors upon the business of the year shows that during that period 3688 polices have been taken out, the total amount insured by them beirg £892,775. The new premiums for the year amount to £30,171. November 18. Mr W. M. R. Vale, who was Attor-ney-General in the last Berry Administration, has resigned his seat for Fitzroy in the Legislative Assembly, and retires into private life.
