At the City Court to-day John Gordon was committed for trial for fraudulent bankruptcy. Shortly before filing he had £320 in Btock, which he gave to a publican. On September 20 he got drunk, and then discovered that he had £206 in his possession
A four-roomed cottage at North Otago heads owned and occupied by Carl Jensod, has been burned down. Jt was insured for £450 in the Hamburg-Madeg-burg office.
