INVERCARGILL.
'October 31. On Saturday the bodies Of a woman and child were found in a ditch near One Tree Point, a few miles from Invercargill, iv an advanced state of decomposition, and have been identified as a young married woman named Borrison and her child, who was subject to, fits, and apparently had been seized where she was found. She had been married since June last. Dr Hodgkineon, a former member, addressed a meeting of the Wallace electors at Riverton on Saturday, receiving a vote of confidence. While not supporting Sir George Grey, be believed ;it possible to get a better Government than the present, which had done harm as well as good. During the month 61 births, 12 marriages, and 22 deaths, were registered in the Invercargill district.
