OPUNAKE.
October 28. The Constabulary marched from here to Pungarehu this morning. The Navals in the meantime garrison Opunake. Mr Bryce, Colonel Roberts, and Major Atkinson have proceeded to Pungarehu. There is an absence of natives here. The Opunake Rifles are about building fortifications.
