LONDON.

October 24,

A meeting was held to-day in Hyde Park, at which resolutions were passed denouncing the coercive measures now being adopted by tbe Government in Ireland. It is estimated that fully 50,000 persons were present at the meeting, the proceedings of which were of an orderly character.

News has been received from Ireland that a farmer has been murdered at Ennis, in County Clare. The outrage is connected with the recent agrarian agitation. The perpetrator has not yet been discovered.

The Australian and New Zealand mails via Suez and Brindisi, which left Melbourne on September 12, were delivered here to-day.
