October 19. A telegram to the Government states that some natives are interfering with tbe settlers in tbe neighborhood of Cape Egmont lighthouse. Fences were pulled down, and the settlers ordered off the land. The Government are making enquiries into the matter. The following intercolonial weather exchange has been received :—Sydney, Tuesday evening. A well marked depression affects Eastern Australia from liobart to Brisbane, the centre beiog off Sydney, with heavy south-west rain and gales over New South Wales and the south-east of Tasmania. The barometer at Albany registers 30-3, at Adelaide and Portland 302, at Hobart 299, at Sydney 29-5, and at Brisbane 29 8.
