October 19. Both the morning papers strongly condemn the action of the Industrial Association with reference to the industrial exhibition projected by Messrs Joabert and Twopenny. Public feeling is also against the Association. Mr W. P. Cowleshand addressed the electors of Stanmore last night, and received a vote of thanks.
Mr W. F. Pearson addressed the Ashley electors on Monday, and received a vote of confidence.
