CRICKET.
Tbe Napier and Petane Clubs contended at Petane on Saturday last. The scoring was small on both sides, White for Napier and Hamilton for Petane being the only batters who went into double figures. Edwards for Napier and Braithwaite for Petane did excellent service for their respective sides in trundelling, the former being credited with seven wickets, and the latter with five.
