October 14.
At the Magistrate's Court this morning Charles Ryland, on remand, was committed for trial on two separate charges of obtaining goods by means of valueless cheques. A third charge of a similar nature broke down, in consequence of its being shown that the
cheque had not been presented for payment- at the bank.
