Mr Oliver has accepted a seat in the Cabinet without portfolio. His Excellency will be advised to call him to the Legislative Council.
The following intercolonial weather exchange has been received:—Bydney, Thursday evening. The depression is now east of Gabo, and S.W. winds are prevailing over the south coast of Australia and Tasmania with a rising barometer, which at Portland registers 29-8, at Hobart 29"5, at Sydney 297, and at Brisbane 29 8.
