Goldsbrough wool sales opened here yesterday. There was a good attendance of home and foreign buyers, and there was good competition. Copious rain ie now falling throughout Victoria.

The embezzlement of £8,000 by two clerks in the employ of Messrs Kronheimer and Co. has been discovered, and the books of the firm have been falsified by the defrauders, who have absconded.
