The Industrial Association last night resolved to support Messrs Joubert and Twopenny's proposed industrial exhibition at Christchurch.

Miss Poraeroy opened at the Theatre Royal last night to a capital house. Miss Pomeroy, and the company supporting her, created a most favorable impression. * The Hon. E. Richardson and Mr S. P. Andrew, M.H.R.'s and three other gentlemen, attended a meeting of the railway employees on strike this morning, and advised them to apply to the Hon. J. Hall for a commission of enquiry into their grievances. The men resolved to adopt this plan. Additional men were sworn in this morning for the A.0., making a total of 132.
