WELLINGTON.

September 15. Mr W. S. Moorbouse, M.H.R. for Ashley, died at 8.20 this morning. He had been suffering from diabetes for the past two years, and while attending at the Lands Court at Taupo he had an acute attack, which resulted in the formation of an abscess in his right kidney. Mr Moorhouse returned to Wellington from Taupo shortly after the opening of the present session of Parliament, but was unable to attend to his Parliamentary duties. It is understood that it was the wish of the deceased to be buried in Canterbary, and that the Stella, which is due here to-day, will leave to-morrow morning, conveying the body to Lyttelton. The following intercolonial weather exchange has been received:—-Sydney, Wednesday evening. The depression is passing Albany, with a raoderade grade for N.W. wind along the south coast to \ Bass Straits ; N.W. gale at Port Darwin ; still light S.E. wind at Sydney. The barometer at Albany is 296, at Borda 30 2, at Hobart 302, and at Sydney 304.
