DUNEDIN.

September 15

Two cottages at Green Island were burnt down yesterday. They were insured in the North British office for £250.

There is a very heavy civil list for the next sessions, including two actions against the Roslyn Tram Company, in which £3000 damages are claimed. Fleming, the wll-known book-maker here, has been left a fortune of £30,000, besides some landed property. The Rev. M. W. Green, pastor of the Christian Disciples, will probably stand for the northern city electorate. Messrs Kempthorne, Prosser and Co., have manufactured fifty tons of sulphuric acid, and will claim the Government bonus of £500.
