The following intercolonial weather exchange has been received :—Sydney, Tuesday evening. There is a wave of high pressure over East Australia, with fine weather in the west and south, and light S.E. rains on the East Coast. Tbe barometer at Portland, Hobart, and Sydney, is 303, and at Albany 300.

His Honor Chief Justice Sir James Prendergast waa sworn in as ActingGovernor at 5.30 yesterday afternoon before Mr Justice Richmond. The Premier, tbe Colonial Secretary, the Postmaster-General, and the Minister for Native Affairs were also present. Instructions have been given for all civil servants appointed since October, 1876, who have not been vaccinated, to have the operation performed in accordance with the provisions of the Public Health Act, to which attention was called in the House recently.
