NEW YORK.
September 2. Severe drought is now being- experienced throughout the States, and is proving of serious consequence in the pastoral and agricultural districts. The want of rain is also being felt in Canada, where the dry weather has resulted in most destructive forest fires. Numerous farms have been burnt, and farming stock and crops have been destroyed.
