The total quantity of wheat utloat for Great Britain is 1,700,000 qu.-irrers, and increase of 170,000 quarters ,-ince last Friday. The market for Australian tallow shows an ad nm.-e of Gd per cwt., best beef being t'> div quoted at 365, and best mutton afc 38s. " Best Scotch pig iron, No. 1, free on hoard in Clyde, lias declined to 47s Gd. Galvanised iron, 26 guage, has risen to £17. August 27. ( have further declined one-quarter, and are quoted to-day at 99.x. The New Zealand five per cent 1889 loan has declined to and the four and a InlF per cent 1879- '904 loan to 99£ ; the fire per cent 10-40 ban is unchanged at 104.
