August. 27—"Rotorun, p.s., for itforthern -ports. Passengers—Mrs Tabuteau, Miss>es Brunsxvirt, and Biperata, Mr and Mrs G. G. and child, Mr and Mrs N. K< ttle, Captain Porter, Captain Parranfc, Messrs M. B. Smith, Berry, Halbert, C. Morton, Hamon, Buehan Hepburn, D. Fraser, Flood, John M'Lenan, Stock, Camoron, S. Smith, Albert, Reardon and Jolly ; and about 45 original. 28—Aspasia, schooner, for Wellington. 28—Arawata, s.s., for Southern ports, Hobart find Melbourne. Passengers — Mfsdames Thomson and child, Mills and child, Beaeley, and Lee; Misses Bee and Lpe ; the Rev. Robert Fraser, the >'cv. P. M. Cornford, Messrs C. Common, Ayris, Rees, Day, and Dransfield and about 40 original. 28—Fairy, s.s., for Te Apiti. Union Company's s.s. Rotorua, Capt. Tozer, arrived in the roadstead about 1.30 p.m. on Saturday. The following is the report of her passage:—Left Port Chalmers at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 24th August, arriving in Lyttlpton at 9.30 a.m. on Thursday ; sailed again at 5.30 p.m., arriving in Wellington at 9,30 a.m. on Friday ; sailed asinin at 5.30 p.m., arriving as above. Had southerly and easterly winds to Jjyttelton, and from thence to Wellington slrong S.W. winds with heavy sea, and from thence to arrival fresh southerly wind. She brought about 20 tone of cargo and 2 horses for here, The Union Company's s.s., Potorua, Capt. James Tozer. steamed for Northern ports at 6 o'clock on Saturday night. The Union '"team Ship Company's s.s. Arawata, Captain Sinclair, arrived in the roadstead from Sydney via Northern ports at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning, and after landing passengers and transhipping her cargo, some 110 tons to the lighters Three Brothers and Admiral, including the overcarried cargo of the s.s. Albion from the previous Saturday, steamed for Southern ports and Melbourne at about 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The following is the report of her passage, for which we thank Mr Dalgleish, her purser:—Left Sydney on the 18th instant at 5 p.m., and arrival at Russell on the 23rd at 3 p.m. ; left at 10 p.m., and arrived at Auckland on the 24th at 10aa.mr. r petting alongside the wharf at noon ; left ftjain on the 26th at 3 p.m., and arrived at Poverty Bay on the 27th at 7 p.m.; left on the 28th at 1 a.m., and arrived here as above, having experienced line weather with variable winds throughout the voyage. The steamer Fairy, Captain J. Campbell, left for Te Apiti last evening, with a full cargo. The 8.8. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, which wns expected to arrive here from Wellington this morning, has not yet turned up. She has probably been availing herself of the westerly wind to land cargo on the const, and will arrive here during the night. Her advertised time of departure for Gisborne has been altered to 5 p.m. tomorrow niaht. The s.s. Sir Donald, J. Qtiinlan master, is expected to get away for Blackhead and Wai mamma to-night, with a good cargo of timber and stores. The lijjhl-i rs ir Donald, '""hree Brothers, and Admiral, discharged their cargoes today, the former at i-he cattle wharf, that of the s.s. Rotorua transhipped on Saturday, and the two latter at the breastwork, that of the s.s. Arawata transhipped on Sunday. The steamers Maoii and Result leave for Wairoa at 2 a.m. to-morrow. The s.s. Rotomahana arrived at the Bluff from Hobart and Melbourno afc 8.50 a.m. yesterday.
