(By Cable.) London, August 25. Three per oent consols have again fallen to 99J. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £12,875,000. The bank rate of discount has advanced to 4 per cent,, but the market rate remains at 3 per oent. New Zealand securities are unchanged at the following quotations : —Five per cent 10-40 loan, 104; five per cent 1889 loan, 103 ; four and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan, 100 i. Adelaide wheat, ex-warehouse, remains at yesterday's quotation, 575, and New Zealand wheat, ex-ship, at 56s 6d. Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, 40s 6d. Australian tallow is without quotable change, beet beef being at 35s 6d, and best mutton at 37s 6d. Prices for hides are firm, especially for heavy kips. Ad"_aide, August 26. Wheat is quoted to-day at 5s to 5s 6d. The tone of the market, is firm. Town flour fetches £12 ss, and country brands £11 15s to £12 per ton. Freights to London, per steamer, 455; ditto, sailing vessel, 42s 6d. August 27. Wheat remains Arm at 5s 3d to 5s 6d. Town flour is quoted at £12 5s to £12 10s, and country brands at £11 10s to £11 15s.
