DUNEDIN.
August 19. The half-yearly report of the Standard Insurance Company shows that, after providing for losses, there remains a balance of £5190, which the directors propose to carry forward. They hope to be able to resume paying dividends next half-year. The New Zealand Drug Company has declared an interim dividend at the rate of ten per cent. Mr H. Prince, with bis string of horEee, left to-day for Melbourne.
