A number of public meetings will be held at Normanby, Hawera, Manaia, and Opunake, to strengthen the hands of the New Plymouth Harbor Enquiry Committee. Ratepayers protest strongly against being rated for harbor works only calculated to afford shelter to Goastins; steamers.
