CARTERTON.

July 13

Dungool's "boarding-house, formerly Richards' store, was burned down at 4 o'clock this morning. Hardly anything was saved. The furniture was insured for £75 in the National office. The premises are the property of a Wellington loan society, and are said to be insured. The brigade could not render much assistance, no water being handy, but succeeded in saving the neighbouring property.
