The first section (six miles) of the Rivera n to Orepuki section of the railway, will be handed over to the Government this week.
A meeting is to be held at Riverton on
Saturday to request tbe Government to press on tbe completion of the line to Orepuka. The Freemasons b<ive arranged to erect a hall, which, with the site, will cost nearly £2000. The foundation stone will be lrd on St. John's Day, June 24.
