The sitting of the Supreme Court was resumed this morning. James McManus, charged with stealing a cash-box and £,6 10s from the bar of the Winchester Hotel, was sentenced to three years penal servitude. James Comiskey, Hugh Boyd, and Patrick Rgan, we»echarged with wilfully settiri„ fire to a haystack, the property of William Gosling, farmer. Mount Horrible. Egan said he was guilty, but Boyd and Comiskey were quite luuoctnt. The Crown offering no evidence against these two they were discharged. Egan got a good character from the police. His Honor said he would take his case into consideration, and see if, under the circumstances, he could award a light sentence for so heavy an offence.
