PORT AHURIRI

ARRIVALS. June. 3—Taiaroa, s.s., from Dunedin, Oamaru, and Lyttelton. Passengers — Messrs Dott, Baylis, and Hall.

June. 2 —Maori, s.s., for Wairoa. Passengers — Captain Preece, Constable Siddles, Mr and Mrs Herman, Messrs Lyon, Hugh McLean, G. Hobbs, Taylor, Cook, two prisoners, and about a dozen natives.

The Union Company's s.s. Taiaroa. Captain J. Anderson, arrived in the roadstead at 8.30 a.m. this day from Southern ports. The following is the report of her passage, for which we thank Mr W. Stodart, herpirsev : —Left Dunedin at 1 a.m. on the 31st May, and arrived at Oamaru at 8.30 a.m. on the 31st May ; sailed at 5.30 p.m. and arrived at Lyttelton at 9.20 a.m. on the Ist June ; sailed again at 3.30 p.m., and arrived at 8.30 this rrorning. Had fine weather to Lyttelton, and thence strong N.E. winds •with confused sea. She brings ahout 30 tons of cargo for this port, which is being lightered ashore by the ketch Three Brothers. The advertised time for the Boojum to leave the wharf with the Auckland passengers for this steamer is 4 p.m. this day.

The steamer Maori, C*apt. H. Anderson, steamed for Wairoa at 11.30 p.m. yesterday taking a full cargo and a number of passengers.

The Union Company's s.s. Te Anau, Capt. Carey, is to ■ leave Auckland to-night, and "will not arrive here before Sunday morning early. Her advertised time of departure for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne, has been altered to 10' clock on Sunday morning. The s.s. Result, Capt. Baxter, is expected to get away for the Wairoa at about 12 o'clock to-night. The Union Company's s.s. Ringarooma, Captain fhatfield, leaves Wellington for Northern ports at 4 o'clock this afternoon, and may be looked for here to-morrow morning. She is advertised to sail again at 4 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.

_ The s.s. Kiwi leaves Wellington to-morrow night for Napier via the coast.
